I did this wallpaper for my gf for our 8th month together. I liked the overall effect and the glowing parts, and its tapered ends. well i hope she liked it as much as i did heee ^^.  anyway,  the glowing parts are done this way:

use the pen tool to draw the curves. then create a new layer and select the paintbrush tool. select a thin hard brush.

swith back to pen tool, right click ->stroke path. a popup box will appear and you shld select brush and check simulate pressure. click->ok.

The paths will appear, next rightclick-> delete path to remove the pen marks.

Found this communist style poster tutorial and followed it step by step. the result shocked me. looked quite gd. was a really good tutorial, came details of how to do the grungy background and the revolution style effect.  The Circles were made with the Elliptical Marquee Tool. After a selection with the tool, draw an angled gradient. the colour will only appear in the selection circle.

I edited the original poster slightly to make it more aligned to the theme that i wanted.  basically just took away the revoluntionary styled items.

something seems to be missing, didnt seem to have the awwh effect but hack i was rushing for time.

today was another regular working day. sean my supervisor was not here, didnt bother to find out where he went. went about keying in a set of templates into the remedy system. this is a new system my IS deparment is gonna use for reporting of any IT related problems in the near future. i though it was going to be smooth flowing but jeff came over suddenly and ask me to follow him to a meeting. Since i was not informed of what the meeting was about and it felt really weird. and my gut feeling was rt... kenna bomb.

this joker jeff... realised that the meeting was about the quotation system that jeff had done previously. A problem cropped up with some quotation coming out with the wrong price. It was a huge problem as we all know money matters and the ISU /sales wanted to put the system on hold and stop using it. I was partially involved in the project in the sense that i checked some aspects of it and did a user manual for it. However the whole flow of the system and how the sales and ISU worked was unclear to me. It was even more so i felt that jeff should have told me beforehand what it was about. what pissed me off further was the fact that  mr Ho stated that we did not have a manual for the system. Jeff did not say a thing and even after that when i questioned him he didnt give a reply. because i remember i did the manual and sent it to jeff. god knows what he did with it. seriously feel kind of kenna used as a "dang jian pai"(block arrow shield) or something.

Basically what happened was....jeff demostrated the system to mr Ho...totally didnt know what i was doing inside. jeff  then pointed out where the error occured and identified that the ISU personel missed a step. after some explaination, mr Ho got the idea and called lilyzhan in. jeff and lilyzhan kept argueing non-stop and refused to listen to mr Ho's decision. mr Ho got fed up gave an ultimum ask everyone to follow and left angrily after the conclusion.

whole morning was burnt jsut like that. but thigns went smoothly after that went back to my work and things went smooothly. just like any other normal day.

as my GIP is coming to an end, i cant help but think and ask myself what i have accomplished here in shanghai. seriously cant think of much...

i had two goals before i came 1) trim down 2) get an A for gip(any kind of A). The second goal is definetely out after the poor grading from sean during my 1st grading... goal number one.... i feel that i have kept my weight constant all the way, went to gym constantly... but to really say trim down. i have not done it either. partially complete goal number one i would say.

Enjoyment wise --> i had my fair share of entertainment. the most significant would be travelling to so many places and looking at the world, experiencing the different lifestyle in shanghai. thats the only thing worth mentioning in my opinion. ok... i did my fair share of shopping. but i didnt really go pubbing, i didnt go clubbing frequently, i am fed up with findin pple to go ktv... i have been thru some shit as well, dropping my hp and all. felt damn lonely when i 1st came over, even though one of my best friends, sam came over with me and was my roommate. sam has got to accomodate and take care of janice and i understand that and i knw he keeps a balance between friends and gf very well.soon got to know more friends and  slowly got over that kind of feeling, but recently kept having this kind of feeling again. must be pre-leaving symptoms.

tell me any factor i missed out. was the trip worth?
