12月15日 Photoshop Design - 3d boxFound this tutorial online at this new website: http://www.tutorial9.net/photoshop/create-a-3d-glossy-box-logo/
thought it looked quite cool so i tried it out. but 1st attempt looks crappy.
12月4日 HolidaysClosed me webspace last month to revamp it slightly. finally have the time to touch up a little.
One month holidays has just arrived. Its a short holiday, and i prob be juggling btw gip club activities, fyp work, and just meeting up with friends and going out ha.
Wana comment about the GIP alumni dinner, Its actually our first time organising such an event so we are keeping it small and i hope things go smoothly. The dinner's on 15th dec, 645pm at Nanyang Executive Centre. There would be a buffet spread and a lucky draw, all for only 10 bucks. all ex-GIP participants are invited! so if u are reading this and interested, just contact us to grab a spot.
gonna ENJOYYY this short holiday before another hectic study semester comes round!!! wallpaperI did this wallpaper for my gf for our 8th month together. I liked the overall effect and the glowing parts, and its tapered ends. well i hope she liked it as much as i did heee ^^. anyway, the glowing parts are done this way: use the pen tool to draw the curves. then create a new layer and select the paintbrush tool. select a thin hard brush. swith back to pen tool, right click ->stroke path. a popup box will appear and you shld select brush and check simulate pressure. click->ok. The paths will appear, next rightclick-> delete path to remove the pen marks. To get the tapered strokes, remember to click "windows->brushes" and check "shape dynamics".
Got the inspiration for this poster from the following two tutorials(great help and taught me lots of new and simple tricks.):
10月28日 More poster designs
Two of my projects required posters this semester and i used the same design for both. The background was done using preset brushes. It is impressive what can be done with preset brushes. many designs are avalilable on the web for download.
i got the inspiration from the following tutorial(the tutorial was professional couldnt get the exact same effect... haha... ):
